The Birth of Elliana

Fast and furious stop and drop...

Maggie stalled at 7cm with her first baby. As a labor and delivery nurse, I should have known better the second time around. Dom called me in the very early hours on February 21st to let me know they were heading to the hospital. After some discussion and Maggie's experience with her first baby, they decided to wait to have me come to capture the birth of their little girl. About 45 minutes later, I would get the call that Maggie went from 4cm to 8cm.


I flew out the door knowing I would be cutting it close! Sure enough, I walked into the hospital room just as Elliana had made her entrance. The look of shock on Maggie's face was something I'll never forget. She certainly didn't expect this delivery to go as quickly as it had! I was able to capture the golden hour and beyond, into the "fresh 48". Here are a few of my favorites...
